The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ (Inevitable) cometh (to pass) the Command of Allah: seek ye not then to hasten it: Glory to Him, and far is He above having the partners they ascribe unto Him! 1 He sends down the angels with the soul of faith – the divine revelations – towards those among His bondmen He wills that, “There is no worship except for Me, therefore fear Me.” 2 He created the heavens and the earth with truth. Exalted is He above what they associate (with Him)! 3 He created mankind from a sperm drop, yet he is a clear adversary. 4 And the cattle! He hath created them. For you in them there is warmth and other profits and of them ye eat. 5 And wherein is beauty for you, when you bring them home in the evening, and as you lead them forth to pasture in the morning. 6 and they carry your loads to many a place which you would be unable to reach without much hardship. Surely your Lord is Intensely Loving, Most Merciful. 7 And (He has created) horses, mules and donkeys, for you to ride and as an adornment. And He creates (other) things of which you have no knowledge. 8 It rests with Allah alone to show you the Right Way, even when there are many crooked ways. Had He so willed, He would have (perforce) guided you all aright. 9
