Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And We left for them (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Verily Lot was one of the apostles, 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers]. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
