This is the reasoning We gave to Abraham against his people, We raise in rank anyone We please, your Lord is wise and aware. 83 And We gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - all [of them] We guided. And Noah, We guided before; and among his descendants, David and Solomon and Job and Joseph and Moses and Aaron. Thus do We reward the doers of good. 84 Zachariah, John, Jesus, and Elijah, every one of them was righteous, 85 And Ismail and Al-Yasha and Yunus and Lut; and every one We made to excel (in) the worlds: 86 With some of their forefathers and their offspring and their brethren; and We chose them and guided them unto a straight path. 87 Such is the guidance of Allah by it He guides whom He will of His worshipers. Had they associated (others with Him), their labors would have indeed been annulled. 88 Those are they unto whom We gave the Scripture and command and prophethood. But if these disbelieve therein, then indeed We shall entrust it to a people who will not be disbelievers therein. 89 They are those whom Allah had guided. So follow their guidance. Say: "No reward I ask of you for this (the Quran). It is only a reminder for the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns)." 90
