Is it not clear to those who inherit the earth after its (former) residents that if We please We would afflict them on account of their faults and set a seal on their hearts so they would not hear. 100 Those were the towns whose story We relate unto you (O Muhammad SAW). And there came indeed to them their Messengers with clear proofs, but they were not such as to believe in that which they had rejected before. Thus Allah does seal up the hearts of the disbelievers (from each and every kind of religious guidance). 101 We found most of them untrue to their covenants, indeed We found most of them to be defiant. 102 Then We sent, after them, Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his Council, but they did them wrong; so behold thou, how was the end of the workers of corruption! 103 Moses said: O Pharaoh! Lo! I am a messenger from the Lord of the Worlds, 104 Approved upon condition that I speak concerning Allah nothing but the truth. I come unto you (lords of Egypt) with a clear proof from your Lord. So let the Children of Israel go with me. 105 Said Firaun, “If you have come with a sign, then present it if you are truthful!” 106 Then Moses threw down his staff and suddenly, unmistakably, it appeared as a serpent, 107 Then he drew out his hand, and it appeared luminous to all beholders. 108
