The chiefs of Pharaoh's people said: Lo! this is some knowing wizard, 109 "His plan is to get you out of your land: then what is it ye counsel?" 110 They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers 111 to bring thee every cunning sorcerer.' 112 So there came the sorcerers to Pharaoh: They said, "of course we shall have a (suitable) reward if we win!" 113 Pharaoh replied: 'Certainly, and you shall be among those who are near to me.' 114 They said: O Moses! Either throw (first) or let us be the first throwers? 115 He said, 'You cast.' And when they cast they put a Spell upon the people's eyes, and called forth fear of them, and produced a mighty sorcery. 116 And We revealed to Musa, saying: Cast your rod; then lo! it devoured the lies they told. 117 ۞ So the truth was established, and abolished was what they were doing. 118 So they were vanquished there, and they turned about, humbled. 119 and the sorcerers prostrated themselves, 120 They said, “We have accepted faith in the Lord Of The Creation.” 121 the Sustainer of Moses and Aaron!" 122 Said Pharaoh: "Believe ye in Him before I give you permission? Surely this is a trick which ye have planned in the city to drive out its people: but soon shall ye know (the consequences). 123 I will cut off your hands and feet on the alternate sides and crucify you all." 124 They said, "Indeed, to our Lord we will return. 125 And you do not take revenge on us except because we have believed in the communications of our Lord when they came to us! Our Lord: Pour out upon us patience and cause us to die in submission. 126
