The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By heaven and the night-star! 1 and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 So let man observe from what he was created. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 A day when the secrets will be examined. 9 [man] will have no power, and no helper. 10 Consider the heavens, ever-revolving, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 and is no idle tale. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
