And if they deny thee, say: Unto me my work, and unto you your work. Ye are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what ye do. 41 And among them are some who listen to you, but can you make the deaf to hear, even though they apprehend not? 42 And among them is one who gazes at you; so will you guide the blind* even if they cannot perceive? (* Deaf or blind to guidance.) 43 Indeed, Allah does not wrong mankind a thing, but they wrong themselves. 44 And of the Day whereon He shall gather them, as though they had tarried not save an hour of the day they shall mutually recognize. Lost surely are those who belie the meeting with Allah and they were not such as to be guided. 45 When if We show you them suffering Our retribution or you die before their suffering, (they will not be able to escape Our punishment) they will all return to Us. God bears witness to whatever they do. 46 A Messenger is sent to every people; and when their Messenger comes, the fate of that people is decided with full justice; they are subjected to no wrong. 47 And they say, “When will this promise come, if you are truthful?” 48 Say: 'I have no power to benefit or harm myself except as Allah wills. To every nation is a fixed term and when their term comes they cannot delay it for an hour, nor can they bring it forward. 49 Say: "Have you ever considered [how you would feel] if His chastisement were to befall you by night or by day? What could there be in that prospect that people lost in sin should wish to hasten? 50 Is it, then, when it hath befallen, that ye will believe therein now? whereas ye have surely been hastening it on. 51 Then it shall be said to the evildoers: 'Taste the punishment of eternity! Shall you be recompensed except according to what you earned' 52 And they ask thee to inform them (saying): Is it true? Say: Yea, by my Lord, verily it is true, and ye cannot escape. 53
