And [thereafter,] indeed, We assigned unto the children of Israel a most goodly abode, and provided for them sustenance out of the good things of life. And it was not until knowledge [of God's revelation] was vouchsafed to them that they began to hold divergent views: [but,] verily, thy Sustainer will judge between them on Resurrection Day regarding all on which they were wont to differ. 93 But if you are in doubt as to what We have revealed to you, ask those who read the Book before you; certainly the truth has come to you from your Lord, therefore you should not be of the disputers. 94 And never be of those who denied the signs of Allah, for you will then be of the losers. 95 Surely those against whom the word of your Lord has proved true will not believe, 96 Even though all the signs came to them, not till they face the grievous punishment. 97 So if only had there been one dwelling* that believed and its belief would have benefited it – except the nation of Yunus (Jonah)! When they accepted faith, We removed the disgraceful punishment in the life of this world from them, and let them enjoy for a while. (* That was destroyed after being warned.) 98 And if your Lord had pleased, surely all those who are in the earth would have believed, all of them; will you then force men till they become believers? 99 It is not for any soul to believe save by the leave of God; and He lays abomination upon those who have no understanding. 100 Say: "Observe all there is in the heavens and the earth." But signs or warnings will be of no avail to those who do not believe. 101 Can they expect anything but what the people before them had known? Say: "Then wait. I am waiting with you." 102 Then we shall save Our Messengers and the believers. It is Our obligated duty, We shall save those who believe. 103
