We gave the people of Israel a settled abode, and bestowed good things on them to eat and use. So they did not differ until they came to have knowledge. Your Lord will assuredly settle their differences on the Day of Resurrection. 93 AND SO, [O man,] if thou art in doubt about [the truth of] what We have [now] bestowed upon thee from on high, ask those who read the divine writ [revealed] before thy time: [and thou wilt find that,] surely, the truth has now come unto thee from thy Sustainer. Be not, then, among the doubters 94 and neither be among those who are bent on giving the lie to God's messages, lest thou find thyself among the lost. 95 Those against whom the Word of your Lord will be realized will not believe, 96 Even though all the signs came to them, not till they face the grievous punishment. 97 Then has there not been a [single] city that believed so its faith benefited it except the people of Jonah? When they believed, We removed from them the punishment of disgrace in worldly life and gave them enjoyment for a time. 98 And if your Lord had pleased, surely all those who are in the earth would have believed, all of them; will you then force men till they become believers? 99 And it is not for a soul to believe except by permission of Allah, and He will place defilement upon those who will not use reason. 100 Say, "Observe what is in the heavens and earth." But of no avail will be signs or warners to a people who do not believe 101 So what are they waiting for, except the days similar to the days of those who passed away before them? Say, “Then wait! I too am waiting with you.” 102 Then we shall save Our Messengers and the believers. It is Our obligated duty, We shall save those who believe. 103
