The Heifer (Al-Baqarah)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif Lam Mim 1 That is the Book, wherein is no doubt, a guidance to the godfearing 2 Who believe in [the existence of] that which is beyond the reach of human perception, and are constant in prayer, and spend on others out of what We provide for them as sustenance; 3 who believe in what has been sent down to thee and what has been sent down before thee, and have faith in the Hereafter; 4 These depend on guidance from their Lord. These are the successful. 5 As for those whose fate is disbelief, whether you warn them or do not warn them – it is all one for them; they will not believe. (Because their hearts are sealed – see next verse). 6 Allah has sealed their hearts and their ears, and on their eyes is a covering; and for them is a terrible punishment. 7
