He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ (The Prophet (Peace be upon him)) frowned and turned away, 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 How could you know? Perhaps he would cleanse himself, 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and the teaching might profit him? 4 Now he who waxes indifferent, 5 to him thou attendest 6 though you are not to blame if he would not cleanse himself. 7 But he who comes to you running, 8 And whereas he fears, 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 So whoever wills, let him pay attention to it. 12 (It is) in Books held (greatly) in honour, 13 Exalted and holy, 14 (Written) by the hands of scribes- 15 noble and pious. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 He created him from a living germ. He determined his fate 19 Then the way He made easy. 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 then, He will raise him when He wills. 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Let Man consider his nourishment. 24 That We watered it in abundance. 25 and cleaved the earth, cleaving it asunder; 26 to yield therein corn, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 and olives and palms, 29 And enclosed Gardens, dense with lofty trees, 30 and fruits and fodder 31 as provision for you and for your cattle to enjoy. 32 Then when cometh the Deafening Cry 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 And his mother and his father, 35 his consort, his sons, 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 Many a face will be glittering on that day. 38 laughing, joyous; 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 and overcast with gloom: 41 these, these will be the ones who denied the truth and were immersed in iniquity! 42
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
