Surely We created man of a clay of mud moulded, 26 and the jinn before (the human being) of smokeless fire. 27 And recall when your Lord said to the angels, “I will create man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud.” 28 "So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him." 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 Save Iblis. He refused to be among the prostrate. 31 The Lord inquired: "Iblis! What is the matter with you that you did not join those who prostrated?" 32 He said it was not for me that I should prostrate myself unto a human being whom Thou hast created from ringing clay of loam moulded. 33 Said He: "Go forth, then, from this [angelic state]: for, behold, thou art [henceforth] accursed, 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are raised." 36 He said: So surely you are of the respited ones 37 until the day of a known time." 38 (satan) said: 'My Lord, for Your perverting me, I shall make (matters) in the earth seem most fair to them and I shall pervert all, 39 excepting those Thy servants among them that are devoted. 40 He (Allah) said: 'This is for Me the Right Path 41 Indeed, My servants - no authority will you have over them, except those who follow you of the deviators. 42 Surely, Hell is the place to which they are destined, 43 Which has several gates, and each gate is marked for every section of them." 44
