And certainly We created man of clay that gives forth sound, of black mud fashioned in shape. 26 while We had brought the jinn into being before out of blazing fire. 27 Recall when your Lord said to the angels: "I will indeed bring into being a human being out of dry ringing clay wrought from black mud. 28 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage;" 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 save Iblis; he refused to be among those bowing. 31 Allah said: O Iblis! what aileth thou that thou art not with the prostrates? 32 He replied: 'I will not prostrate to a mortal You have created of clay, from molded mud' 33 The Lord said: "Then get out of here; you are rejected, 34 “And indeed you are accursed till the Day of Judgement.” 35 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 36 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 37 until the day of a known time." 38 [Iblees] said, "My Lord, because You have put me in error, I will surely make [disobedience] attractive to them on earth, and I will mislead them all 39 except Your sincere servants". 40 God said, "This is the path which leads straight to Me. 41 Surely, you shall have no power over My true servants, except those misguided ones who choose to follow you. 42 Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 "It (Hell) has seven gates, for each of those gates is a (special) class (of sinners) assigned. 44
