VERILY, those who are conscious of God [shall find themselves in the hereafter] amidst gardens and springs, 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 And [by then] We shall have removed whatever unworthy thoughts or feelings may have been [lingering] in their breasts, [and they shall rest] as brethren, facing one another [in love] upon thrones of happiness. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ (O Prophet), declare to My servants that I am indeed Ever Forgiving, Most Merciful. 49 But My punishment is surely a painful one. 50 Inform them about the matter of Abraham's guests. 51 When they entered upon him and said, "Peace." [Abraham] said, "Indeed, we are fearful of you." 52 They said: Be not afraid, surely we give you the good news of a boy, possessing knowledge. 53 He said, 'What, do you give me good tidings, though old age has smitten me? Of what do you 54 "We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair." 55 [Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "And who despairs of the Mercy of his Lord except those who are astray?" 56 [Abraham] said, "Then what is your business [here], O messengers?" 57 "We have been sent," they said, "to (punish) a sinful people, 58 "Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All - 59 But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. 60
