But the godfearing shall be amidst gardens and fountains: 45 Enter them in peace, secure. 46 We shall cleanse their hearts of all traces of ill-will; they will be like brethren seated on couches facing one another. 47 They will not be affected by any weariness there, and they will never be made to leave." 48 ۞ Declare thou unto My bondmen: verily I! I am the Forgiver, the Merciful. 49 And that indeed the punishment of Mine is a painful punishment. 50 Tell them about Abraham's guests: 51 When they came to Abraham they said: "Peace be upon you!" He replied: "Indeed we feel afraid of you." 52 Said they: "Fear not! Behold, we bring thee the glad tiding of [the birth of] a son who will be endowed with deep knowledge." 53 Abraham said: "What, do you give me this tiding though old age has smitten me? Just consider what tiding do you give me!" 54 They said: We give you good news with truth, therefore be not of the despairing. 55 He said, "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord except for those astray?" 56 He added: "And what [else] may you have in view, O you [heavenly] messengers?" 57 They said, "We are sent to a sinful people. 58 "Excepting the adherents of Lut: them we are certainly (charged) to save (from harm),- All - 59 But not his wife; we have decreed that she will be of those staying behind. 60
