And when the envoys came to the family of Lot, 61 he said, "You are strangers [to me]." 62 They said: "Yea, we have come to thee to accomplish that of which they doubt. 63 And we have come to you with truth, and indeed, we are truthful. 64 Leave the town with your family sometime during the night. Walk behind them and let no one turn around. Proceed as you are commanded." 65 And We revealed to him this decree, that the roots of these shall be cut off in the morning. 66 And the people of the city came [unto Lot,] rejoicing at the glad tiding. 67 He said, 'These are my guests; put me not to shame, 68 And fear Allah and do not disgrace me." 69 They replied: "Did we not forbid you again and again to extend hospitality to all and sundry?" 70 He said, "Here are my daughters, if you must act in this way." 71 By your life! In their drunkenness they were truly blind. 72 So As-Saihah (torment - awful cry, etc.) overtook them at the time of sunrise; 73 and We turned those [sinful towns] upside down, and rained down upon them stone-hard blows of chastisement pre-ordained. 74 Surely, in that there are signs for those who contemplate. 75 And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. 76 Indeed in that is a sign for the believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
