And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 We brought them signs, but they turned away. 81 They used to hew dwellings in the mountains to live in security. 82 But they were seized by the mighty blast towards the morning; 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for a genuine purpose. The Day of Judgment will certainly approach, so (Muhammad) forgive them graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 We have given you the seven oft-recited verses and the great Quran. 87 Stretch not thine eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy; and do not sorrow for them, and lower thy wing unto the believers, 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 concerning that they were doing. 93 (O Prophet), proclaim what you are commanded, and pay no heed to those who associate others with Allah in His Divinity. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 We are well aware that you are disheartened by what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
