And the dwellers in Al-Hijr denied (Our) messengers. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 They were hewing the mountains into houses, therein dwelling securely; 82 An explosion struck them in the morning. 83 And all that they had done (for security) availed them nothing. 84 We did not create the heavens and the earth, and what is between them except in truth. The Hour is sure to come, therefore, forgive them with a gracious pardon. 85 For verily it is thy Lord who is the Master-Creator, knowing all things. 86 And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (the seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatiha) and the Grand Quran. 87 Do not yearn for other people's property and wives and do not grieve (that they do not believe). Be kind to the believers. 88 And proclaim, “Indeed I, yes I, am the clear Herald of Warning.” 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Those who made the Quran into shreds. 91 Therefore, by the Lord, We will, of a surety, call them to account, 92 As to what they did. 93 Proclaim openly what you are commanded, and avoid the polytheists. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 We know indeed thy breast is straitened by the things they say. 97 Therefore celebrate the praise of your Lord, and be of those who make obeisance. 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99
