The dwellers in El-Hijr cried lies to the Envoys. 80 And We gave them Our Signs, but they were averse to them. 81 They would carve secure houses out of the mountains. 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is between them except with truth, and the Hour is surely coming, so overlook (O Muhammad SAW), their faults with gracious forgiveness. [This was before the ordainment of Jihad holy fighting in Allah's Cause]. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 And say: Lo! I, even I, am a plain warner, 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore proclaim openly (Allah's Message Islamic Monotheism) that which you are commanded, and turn away from Al-Mushrikun (polytheists, idolaters, and disbelievers, etc. - see V. 2:105). 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 and believe other things to be equal to God. They will soon know the truth. 96 And We already know that your breast is constrained by what they say. 97 But celebrate the praises of thy Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. 98 and serve thy Lord, until the Certain comes to thee. 99
