And the dwellers of the Rock certainly rejected the apostles; 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 Then the shout took hold of them in the early morn. 83 Then availed them not that which they had been earning. 84 And We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And certainly We have given you seven of the oft-repeated (verses) and the grand Quran. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 and say, 'Surely, I am the manifest warner.' 89 [For, thou art the bearer of a divine writ] such as We have bestowed from on high upon those who [afterwards] broke it up into parts, 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 So, by your Lord, We would most certainly question them all, 92 for whatever they have done! 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Truly! We will suffice you against the scoffers. 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 And indeed We know that you are disheartened by their speech. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 and worship your Lord until what is certain [death] comes to you. 99
