۞ God says: 'Take not to you two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me.' 51 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and on earth, and to Him is duty due always: then will ye fear other than Allah? 52 And whatever of blessings and good things you have, it is from Allah. Then, when harm touches you, unto Him you cry aloud for help. 53 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- 54 So as to deny that which We have given them. Then enjoy life (while ye may), for ye will come to know. 55 They set apart for those, whose reality they do not even know, a portion of the sustenance We have provided them. By Allah, you will surely be called to account for the lies that you have invented! 56 And they ascribe daughters to Allah, glory be to Him; and for themselves (they would have) what they desire. 57 When good news of the birth of a female is given to any of them, his face grows dark and inwardly he chokes. 58 avoiding all people because of the [alleged] evil of the glad tiding which he has received, [and debating within himself:] Shall he keep this [child] despite the contempt [which he feels for it] - or shall he bury it in the dust? Old, evil indeed is whatever they decide! 59 For those who believe not in the Hereafter is an evil similitude, and for Allah is the sublime similitude, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 60
