The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay, but [in the life to come such as] he shall indeed be abandoned to crushing torment! 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9
