Surely, Abraham was a nation obedient unto God, a man of pure faith and no idolater, 120 Thankful for His bounties; He chose him and He guided him unto a straight path. 121 And We gave him goodness in this world; and indeed in the Hereafter he is worthy of proximity. 122 So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah." 123 The Sabbath was only appointed for those who were at variance thereon; surely thy Lord will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection, touching their differences. 124 Call to the way of your Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation and reason with them in a way that is best. Your Lord knows best those who have strayed away from His path, and He knows best those who are rightly guided. 125 If you have to retaliate, do so to the extent you have been injured; but if you forbear it is best for those who bear with fortitude. 126 Endure with patience, for your endurance is not without the help of God. Do not grieve for them, and do not be distressed by their plots. 127 God is verily with those who are pious and devout, and those who are doers of good. 128
