We have turned about in this Koran, that they may remember; and it increases them only in aversion. 41 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “If there were other Gods besides Him” – as they utter – “then they would have certainly found a way towards* the Owner of the Throne!”. (* To fight against Him.) 42 Exalted is He and high above what they say by great sublimity. 43 The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving. 44 And when thou recitest the Qur'an, We set up between thee and those who believe not in the Hereafter a curtain drawn down. 45 And We have placed over their hearts coverings, lest they understand it, and in their ears deafness. And when you mention your Lord alone in the Qur'an, they turn back in aversion. 46 When they listen to you, We know very well how they listen. When they conspire, when the evildoers declare: 'You are only following a man who is bewitched' 47 See to what they liken you! But they are lost and cannot find the right path. 48 And they say: When we are bones and fragments, shall we forsooth, be raised up as a new creation? 49 Tell them: "(Even if) you turn to stones or steel, 50 ۞ or some creation yet more monstrous in your minds!' Then they will say, 'Who will bring us back?' Say: 'He who originated you the first time.' Then they will shake their heads at thee, and they will say, 'When will it be?' Say: 'It is possible that it may be nigh, 51 “The day when He will call you and you will come praising Him, thinking you have stayed only a little.” 52
