The pilgrimage is in the appointed months. (For) whosoever undertakes the pilgrimage there is no approaching (women), neither transgression nor disputing in the pilgrimage. Allah is Aware of whatever good you do. Provide well for yourselves, the best provision is piety. Fear Me, O owners of minds. 197 [However,] you will be committing no sin if [during the pilgrimage] you seek to obtain any bounty from your Sustainer. And when you surge downward in multitudes from 'Arafat, remember God at the holy place, and remember Him as the One who guided you after you had indeed been lost on your way; 198 Then, O people of Quraish, you too must return from the place where the people return from, and ask forgiveness from Allah; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 199 And when you have performed your holy rites remember God, as you remember your fathers or yet more devoutly. Now some men there are who say, 'Our Lord, give to us in this world'; such men shall have no part in the world to come. 200 And others there are who say, 'Our Lord, give to us in this world good, and good in the world to come, and guard us against the chastisement of the fire'; 201 They shall have a good share from what they have earned. God is swift in His reckoning. 202 ۞ And remember Allah on the days numbered. Then whosoever hasteneth in two days on him is no sin, and whosoever delayeth on him is no sin: this for him who feareth. So fear Allah, and know that verily unto Him shall ye be gathered. 203 And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allah to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents. 204 But whenever he prevails, he goes about the earth spreading corruption and destroying [man's] tilth and progeny: and God does not love corruption. 205 And when it is said unto him: Be careful of thy duty to Allah, pride taketh him to sin. Hell will settle his account, an evil resting-place. 206 And of the people is he who sells himself, seeking means to the approval of Allah. And Allah is kind to [His] servants. 207 O People who Believe! Enter Islam in full – and do not follow the footsteps of the devil; indeed he is your open enemy. 208 If you lapse back after receiving the clear teachings that have come to you, know it well that Allah is All-Powerful, All-Wise. 209 Are they waiting for God to appear in the balconies of clouds with a host of angels, and the matter to be settled? But all things rest with God in the end. 210
