Beholdest thou not that We have sent the satans upon the infidels inciting them by an incitement? 83 Therefore, do not hasten (in seeking a scourge against them). We are counting their days. 84 The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors 85 and drive the evildoers into Gehenna herding, 86 [on that Day] none will have [the benefit of] intercession unless he has [in his lifetime] entered into a bond with the Most Gracious. 87 And the disbelievers said, “The Most Gracious has chosen an offspring.” 88 You have indeed brought an extremely grave speech! 89 the heavens might well-nigh burst thereat, and the earth break asunder, and the mountains fall down in pieces, 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 It is not for the Merciful to take a son! 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but he shall come to the Most Compassionate Lord as His servant. 93 He has counted them and calculated their number. 94 Every one of them will come before Him all alone on the Day of Resurrection. 95 Indeed, the Most Compassionate Lord will soon create enduring love for those who believe and do righteous works. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 How many generations We have destroyed before them! Can you find a single one of them alive now, or hear so much as a whisper from them? 98
