Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them? 83 So, do not be hasty with them. We are counting their number (of days). 84 and on the Day when We will ceremonially gather the righteous to the Merciful, 85 And shall drive the culprits to Hell as a herd. 86 None will have power to intercede for them except one who obtains a promise from Ar-Rahman. 87 And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken [for Himself] a son." 88 Assuredly, you have uttered a monstrous falsehood: 89 Well-nigh the heavens are rent thereat and the earth cleft in sunder and the mountains fall down in pieces. 90 That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious. 91 For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. 93 He has counted them and calculated their number. 94 And each one of them will come before Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Verily those who believe and do righteous works - anon the Compassionate shall appoint for them affection. 96 and only to this end have We made this [divine writ] easy to understand, in thine own tongue, [O Prophet,] so that thou might convey thereby a glad tiding to the God-conscious, and warn thereby those who are given to [futile] contention: 97 But how many (countless) generations before them have We destroyed? Canst thou find a single one of them (now) or hear (so much as) a whisper of them? 98
