T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ TA HA. 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to thee to be (an occasion) for thy distress, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A down-sent from Him who Created the earth and the heavens high. 4 (Allah) Most Gracious is firmly established on the throne (of authority). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, and all that lies between them, and underneath the soil. 6 Whether or not you express (your thoughts) in words, God certainly knows all unspoken thoughts and all that is even more difficult to find. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 And did the news of Moosa reach you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 And when he came to it (the fire), he was called by name: "O Musa (Moses)! 11 I am your Lord! Take off your sandals, for you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. 12 and I have chosen thee [to be My apostle]: listen, then, to what is being revealed [unto thee]. 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 "Verily, the Hour is coming and My Will is to keep it hidden that every person may be rewarded for that which he strives. 15 Let not the unbelievers who follow their vain desires make you forget the Day of Judgment, lest you will perish." 16 And what is that in thy right hand, O Moses? 17 He said, "It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses." 18 God said, "Moses, cast it down." 19 So Moosa put it down – thereupon it became a fast moving serpent. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 And face what is to come with patience, your hand will not be tarnished with blame: Another sign 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
