In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha. 1 We have not sent down the Koran to you for you to be tired, 2 but only as a reminder to him who tears, 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 If thou pronounce the word aloud, (it is no matter): for verily He knoweth what is secret and what is yet more hidden. 7 Allah! there is no god but He! To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Has the story of Moses reached you? 9 Recall what time he saw a fire and said to his household, bide ye! verily I have perceived a fire! haply I may bring you from it a brand or may find at the fire a guidance. 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Lo! I, even I, am thy Lord, So take off thy shoes, for lo! thou art in the holy valley of Tuwa. 12 I Myself have chosen thee; therefore give thou ear to this revelation. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 Lo! the Hour is surely coming. But I will to keep it hidden, that every soul may be rewarded for that which it striveth (to achieve). 15 So do not let those who do not believe in it and follow their vain desires, turn you away from it. 16 What is that in your right hand, Moses' 17 Moses answered: "This is my staff. I lean on it (when I walk), and with it I beat down leaves for my flock, and I have many other uses for it." 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 He threw it, and behold! It was a snake, active in motion. 20 He said: Grasp it and fear not. We shall return it to its former state. 21 Put your hand under your armpit: it will come out [shining] white, without any blemish. This shall be another sign. 22 We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 Go thou unto Pharaoh! Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 24
