Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Mighty, the Pardoning. 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I have no knowledge of the dispute among the angels (concerning their attitude towards Adam). 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 So when I have made him complete and breathed into him of My spirit, then fall down making obeisance to him. 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Except Iblis; he was proud and was, from the beginning, a disbeliever. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 (Iblis) said: "I am better than he: thou createdst me from fire, and him thou createdst from clay." 76 The Lord said, "Get out of here. You deserve to be stoned! 77 "And verily!, My Curse is on you till the Day of Recompense." 78 He said: my Lord! respite me till the Day whereon they are raised up. 79 He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, 80 until the day of the known time.' 81 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "By Your Might, then I will surely mislead them all, 82 excepting those Thy servants among them that are sincere.' 83 [Allah] said, "The truth [is My oath], and the truth I say - 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say thou: I ask of you for it no hire, nor am I of the affecters. 86 It is naught but an admonition unto the worlds. 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
