Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 so that they may understand me. 28 Appoint for me a minister from my family 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 "Add to my strength through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that we may glorify You much 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 “And indeed We had bestowed upon you a favour one more time.” 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 "Go forth, [then,] thou and thy brother, with My messages, and never tire of remembering Me: 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 Go, then; you two unto him and say, 'Behold, we are apostles sent by thy Sustainer: let, then, the children of Israel go with us, and cause them not to suffer [any longer]. We have now come unto thee with a message from thy Sustainer; and [know that His] peace shall be [only] on those who follow [His] guidance: 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 He who appointed the earth to be a cradle for you, and therein threaded roads for you, and sent down water out of heaven, and therewith We have brought forth divers kinds of plants. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
