'Lord' said Moses, 'expand my chest, 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 Unloose the knot upon my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may glorify Thee much 33 and remember Thee abundantly. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 and speak to him gently, perhaps he may take heed or fear (Allah)." 44 They (Moses and Aaron) said: "Our Lord! We fear lest he hasten with insolence against us, or lest he transgress all bounds." 45 He said: "Have no fear. I am with you, hearing and seeing all. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement awaits those who called the lie to the truth and turned away from it.' " 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
