(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 “And untie the knot of my tongue.” 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 Appoint for me a henchman from my folk, 29 Harun, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may exalt You much 33 and remember You abundantly. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on thee another time (before). 37 When We inspired to your mother what We inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs and do not slacken in My remembrance. 42 Go both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds, 43 Then say to him a gentle saying; haply he may be admonished or he may fear. 44 They said: "O our Lord, we are really frightened lest he behave insolently with us or become violent." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 'Our Lord' he replied, 'is He Who gave everything its creation and then guided it' 50 Pharaoh asked: "Then, what is the state of the former generations?" 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 It is He who has made for you the earth as a cradle and threaded roads for you and sends down water from the sky with which We bring forth every kind of plant. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
