(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and let him share my task 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and may remember You much. 34 Verily, You have always watched over us." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 Saying: Throw him into the ark, and throw it into the river, then the river shall throw it on to the bank, and there an enemy to Me and an enemy to him shall take him. And I endued thee with love from Me that thou mightest be trained according to My will, 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I have attached thee to Myself. 41 go therefore, thou and thy brother; with My signs, and neglect not to remember Me. 42 Go both of you to the Pharaoh; he has become a rebel. 43 “And speak to him courteously, that perhaps he may ponder or have some fear.” 44 They both said, "Our Lord, We fear that he may commit some excess against us, or exceed all bounds in transgression." 45 He said; fear not; verily I shall be with you twain: I shall hear and see. 46 So go to him and say: 'The two of us have indeed been sent by your Lord. So let the children of Israel come with us, and do not oppress them. We have come to you with a token from your Lord. Peace on him who follows the way of guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that those who call our message a lie or turn away from it will face the torment." 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Moses replied, "The knowledge about it is with my Lord in the Book. My Lord is free from error and forgetfulness. 52 Who made the earth for you an expanse and made for you therein paths and sent down water from the cloud; then thereby We have brought forth many species of various herbs. 53 So eat yourself and pasture your cattle. Surely there are many Signs in this for people of understanding. 54
