Said Moosa, “My Lord, open up my breast for me.” 25 Make my task easy 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 That they may understand my saying. 28 Appoint a deputy (for me) from my own people. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 "And make him share my task: 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 Verily Thou! Thou art of us ever a Beholder. 35 The Lord said, "Moses, your request is granted. 36 "And indeed We conferred a favour on you another time (before). 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I formed thee for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 "Go, both of you, to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds; 43 Both of you must speak with him in a gentle manner so that perhaps he may come to himself or have fear (of God)." 44 The two said:" Lord! We fear he may commit excesses against us, or transgress all bounds." 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 "So go you both to him, and say: 'Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Pharaoh said:" Moses! Who is the Lord of the two of you?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said [Pharaoh]: "And what of all the past generations?" 51 Moses said, "My Lord alone has knowledge of that, recorded in a Book. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
