He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 “And make my task easy for me.” 26 and my tongue fluent 27 "That they understand my speech, 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Confirm my strength with him 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 "That we may celebrate Thy praise without stint, 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 Verily, Thou seest all that is within us!" 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 And certainly We bestowed on you a favor at another time; 37 Remember when We inspired your mother with a certain inspiration 38 "Saying: 'Put him (the child) into the Tabut (a box or a case or a chest) and put it into the river (Nile), then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.' And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye, 39 "When your sister went and said: 'Shall I show you one who will nurse him?' So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Midian). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)! 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go thou and thy brother with My signs, and slacken not in remembrance of Mine. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. 46 So, go to him, and say: 'Behold, both of us are the Messengers of your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not chastise them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord; and peace shall be for him who follows the true guidance. 47 It has been revealed to us that chastisement shall light upon him who cries lies and turns his back." 48 (Pharaoh) said: Who then is the Lord of you twain, O Moses? 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Pharaoh said, 'And what of the former generations?' 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 It is He who has laid out the earth for you and traced routes in it and sent down water from the sky. We have brought forth every sort of plant with it, 53 Eat (for yourselves) and pasture your cattle: verily, in this are Signs for men endued with understanding. 54
