The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By [the winds] that pluck out vehemently 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 How his Lord called him in the holy vale of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say to him: 'Are you willing to be purified, 18 I shall guide you to your Lord so that you may perhaps have fear of Him". 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
