And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allah] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great flood. 76 And We helped him against the people who rejected Our signs as lies. They were a wicked people indeed, so We drowned them one and all. 77 And remember David and Solomon, when they gave judgment in the matter of the field into which the sheep of certain people had strayed by night: We did witness their judgment. 78 So We gave the understanding thereof unto Sulaiman; and unto each We vouchsafed judgment and knowledge. And We so subjected the mountains that they shall hallow us along with Daud, and also the birds; and We were the doers. 79 And We taught him the fashioning of garments for you, to fortify you against your violence; then are you thankful? 80 And to Sulaiman (Solomon) (We subjected) the wind strongly raging, running by his command towards the land which We had blessed. And of everything We are the All-Knower. 81 And of the rebellious people there were those who dived for him and did other work besides that, and We kept guard over them; 82 ۞ And (remember) Job, when He cried to his Lord, "Truly distress has seized me, but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are merciful." 83 So We answered him, and removed the affliction that was upon him, and We gave his people, and the like of them with them, mercy from Us, and a Reminder to those who serve. 84 And Ismail and Idris and Zulkifl; all were of the patient ones; 85 And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous. 86 And Zun-nun! recall what time he departed in anger and imagined that We could not straiten him, then he cried in the darknesses, that: there is no god but Thou! hallowed be Thou! verily I have been of the wrong-doers. 87 We heard his cry, and saved him from the anguish. That is how We deliver those who believe. 88 And (remember) Zakariya, when he cried to his Lord: "O my Lord! leave me not without offspring, though thou art the best of inheritors." 89 So We listened to him: and We granted him Yahya: We cured his wife's (Barrenness) for him. These (three) were ever quick in emulation in good works; they used to call on Us with love and reverence, and humble themselves before Us. 90 And she who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her of Our inspiration and made her and her son a sign for the nations. 91 Truly! This, your Ummah [Sharia or religion (Islamic Monotheism)] is one religion, and I am your Lord, therefore worship Me (Alone). [Tafsir Ibn Kathir] 92 People have divided themselves into many sects, but all will return to Us. 93
