When We prepared for Abraham the place to build the Sacred House, We told him not to consider anything equal to Me and to keep the House clean for those walking around it, those standing, bowing down, and prostrating in prayer. 26 and publicly proclaim Pilgrimage for all mankind so that they come to you on foot and mounted on lean camels from every distant point 27 so that they might experience much that shall be of benefit to them, and that they might extol the name of God on the days appointed [for sacrifice,] over whatever heads of cattle He may have provided for them [to this end]: eat, then, thereof, and feed the unfortunate poor. 28 They must then remove their dirt and fulfil their pledges and go around the Free House. 29 That [has been commanded], and whoever honors the sacred ordinances of Allah - it is best for him in the sight of his Lord. And permitted to you are the grazing livestock, except what is recited to you. So avoid the uncleanliness of idols and avoid false statement, 30 being of pure faith to Allah, not associating anything with Him. He who associates others with Allah is like he who falls from heaven and is snatched away by the birds or carried by the wind to some far off place. 31 To respect the symbols of God is the sign of a pious heart. 32 Therein are benefits for you for an appointed term; and afterward they are brought for sacrifice unto the ancient House. 33
