The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The believers have indeed attained true success: 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 who observe Zakah; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 except with their wives, and what their right hands possess -- for then they are free from blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the inheritors 10 that shall inherit Paradise; and in it they shall abide for ever. 11 We created man of an extraction of clay, 12 then We set him, a drop, in a receptacle secure, 13 Then We made the sperm into a clot of congealed blood; then of that clot We made a (foetus) lump; then we made out of that lump bones and clothed the bones with flesh; then we developed out of it another creature. So blessed be Allah, the best to create! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And We have made, above you, seven tracts; and We are never unmindful of (our) Creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 Then We produced for you therewith gardens of palms and vines wherein are many fruits for you, and of them you eat, 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
