The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 who are submissive to God in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 and who are intent on inner purity; 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 They are the inheritors. 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 We have created the human being from an extract of clay 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Then after that you shall surely die, 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure and lodged it in the earth, but if We please, We have the power to take it away, 18 So with it We produced gardens of date-palms and grapes for you, in which is abundant fruit for you and you eat therefrom. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and are carried on them and also on ships. 22
