The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 who give charity, 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 [not giving way to their desires] with any but their spouses - that is, those whom they rightfully possess [through wedlock]: for then, behold, they are free of all blame, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors - 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 After that, surely, you will die. 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth. And indeed, We are Able to take it away. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and upon them, and on the ships, you are borne. 22
