The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ TRULY, to a happy state shall attain the believers: 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And those who from everything vain turn away. 3 who observe Zakah; 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 and who observe their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then made him a drop of fluid in a secure shelter. 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 Then you will all be raised on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And We also produced the tree which springs forth from Mount Sinai, containing oil and sauce for those that eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
