The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Blissful are the believers 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 Who shun all frivolities, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But those who covet more than this will be transgressors; 7 And those who of their trusts and covenant are keepers. 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 Who shall inherit the Paradise; they shall abide therein. 11 We created man from the finest extract of clay, 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 after this you shall surely die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 And We sent down water from the sky in proper measure, then stored it in the earth; and indeed We are Able to take it away! 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat. 19 and a tree issuing from the Mount of Sinai that bears oil and seasoning for all to eat. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
