The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 Who avoid vain talk; 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 who guard their privates, 5 Save from their wives or the (slaves) that their right hands possess, for then they are not blameworthy, 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And those who strictly guard their (five compulsory congregational) Salawat (prayers) (at their fixed stated hours). 9 These are indeed the inheritors. 10 These are the heirs of Paradise wherein they will live forever. 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 Thereafter We created the sperm a clot; then We created the clot a lump of flesh; then We created the lump of flesh bones; then We clothed the bones with flesh: thereafter We brought him forth as another creature. Blest then be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 And We have created above you seven layered heavens, and never have We been of [Our] creation unaware. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 With it We grow for you gardens of date-palms and vines: in them have ye abundant fruits: and of them ye eat (and have enjoyment),- 19 also a tree growing on Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat it. 20 There are lessons for you in the cattle from whose bellies We give you milk to drink, and there are other advantages that you derive from them, and some of them you eat; 21 and you ride on them as you do in ships. 22
