(Further, We sent a long line of prophets for your instruction). We sent Noah to his people: He said, "O my people! worship Allah! Ye have no other god but Him. Will ye not fear (Him)?" 23 But the eminent among those who disbelieved from his people said, "This is not but a man like yourselves who wishes to take precedence over you; and if Allah had willed [to send a messenger], He would have sent down angels. We have not heard of this among our forefathers. 24 He is nothing but a madman: so bear with him for a while." 25 He said, 'O my Lord, help me, for that they cry me lies.' 26 We said to him: 'Make the Ark under Our Eye, and Our Revelation, and then when Our command comes and the oven gushes water, take onboard a pair from every kind and your family, except him against whom the decision has already been passed. Do not address Me concerning those who have done evil; they shall be drowned. 27 And when you are firmly seated, you and those with you, in the ark, say: All praise is due to Allah who delivered us from the unjust people: 28 And pray, “My Lord! Cause me to alight at a blessed place – and You are the Best of all who bring to settle.” 29 Most surely there are signs in this, and most surely We are ever trying (men). 30 Then We produced after them a generation of others. 31 And we sent among them a messenger of their own, saying: Serve Allah, Ye have no other Allah save Him.
