Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 along with his wife, that carrier of slanderous tales; 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
