1/2 Hizb 35

O you apostles, eat things that are clean, and do things that are good. We are surely cognisant of what you do. 51 Your religion is but one religion -- and I am your only Lord, therefore, fear Me. 52 But the people divided their religion among them into sects - each faction, in what it has, rejoicing. 53 So leave them in their bewilderment for a while. 54 Do they think that because We have granted them abundance of wealth and sons, 55 We are hastening them on to good things? Aye! they perceive not. 56 Lo! those who go in awe for fear of their Lord. 57 who believe in the verses of their Lord; 58 who associate none with their Lord, 59 And those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their Lord;- 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged. 62 But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing, 63 until We seize with Our chastisement those of them that are given to luxuriant ways. They will then begin to groan. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Have they not pondered the saying, or came there upon them that which came not upon their fathers, the ancients? 68 Or, is it that they recognised not their apostle, and so of him they become deniers? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 Had the truth followed their desires, the heavens and the earth and all that is in them would have been destroyed. We sent them the Quran but they ignored it. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 And verily, thou callest them onto a straight way 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And if We show mercy to them and remove the distress they have, they would persist in their inordinacy, blindly wandering on. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 To the extent that when We opened the gate of a severe punishment for them, they thereupon lie despairingly in it. 77

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
