Art thou not aware of thy Sustainer [through His works]? - how He causes the shadow to lengthen [towards the night] when, had He so willed, He could indeed have made it stand still: but then, We have made the sun its guide; 45 Then We draw it toward Us with an easy drawing. 46 It is He who appointed the night for you to be a garment and sleep for a rest, and day He appointed for a rising. 47 And He it is Who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings, going before His mercy, and We send down pure water from the sky,- 48 To quicken a region that was dead, and to give it as drink to animals We have created and to men in plenty. 49 We present the same phenomenon over and over again before them so that they may learn a lesson from it; but most people decline to adopt any other attitude than of disbelief and ingratitude. 50 Now had We so willed, We could have [continued as before and] raised up a [separate] warner in every single community: 51 hence, do not defer to [the likes and dislikes of] those who deny the truth, but strive hard against them, by means of this [divine writ,] with utmost striving. 52 ۞ And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas, one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition. 53 And He it is Who hath created man from water, and hath appointed for him kindred by blood and kindred by marriage; for thy Lord is ever Powerful. 54 And they worship such, other than Allah, which neither benefit nor hurt them; and the disbeliever helps the devil instead of his Lord. 55 And We have sent you (O Muhammad SAW) only as a bearer of glad tidings and a warner. 56 Say: 'I do not ask of you a wage for this, except for him who wishes to take to his Lord a way.' 57 Put your trust in the One who is the Ever-Living [God], who never dies, and glorify Him with His praise. He is fully aware of the sins of His servants; 58 He created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them in six spans then assumed His authority. He is the benevolent: Ask those who are well-informed. 59 And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion. ۩ 60
