Al-Furqaan 6 of 6
Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. 61 And it is He who has made the night and the day in succession for whoever desires to remember or desires gratitude. 62 For, [true] servants of the Most Gracious are [only] they who walk gently on earth, and who, whenever the foolish address them, reply with [words of] peace; 63 And they who pass the night prostrating themselves before their Lord and standing. 64 who pray, "Lord, protect us from the torment of hell; it is a great loss. 65 evil it is as a lodging-place and an abode'; 66 They are those who are neither extravagant nor niggardly, but keep a balance between the two; 67 Who do not invoke any god apart from God, who do not take a life which God has forbidden except for a cause that is just, and do not fornicate -- and any one who does so will be punished for the crime, 68 The doom will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein disdained for ever; 69 Except those who repent and come to believe and do the right, for whom God will turn evil into goodness, for God is forgiving and kind. 70 And whosoever repents and does righteous good deeds, then verily, he repents towards Allah with true repentance. 71 And they who do not bear witness to what is false, and when they pass by what is vain, they pass by nobly. 72 who do not behave like the blind and the deaf, when the Revelations of their Lord are recited to them for admonition; 73 Those who say: 'Lord give us of our wives and children what pleases our eyes and make us leaders to the fearful' 74 They will be rewarded for their perseverance with lofty mansions in empyrean where they will be received with greetings of peace and salutations, 75 They will live therein forever, the best abode and place of rest. 76 Say thou: my Lord careth not for you were it not for your prayer; whereas ye have even belied, so presently this denial shall come as the cleaving punishment. 77

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
